Insight Data is celebrating its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of helping businesses across the fenestration, construction and building products sectors make better-informed decisions about sales and marketing.
Founded by Andrew Scott in 2006, Insight Data was created after he experienced first-hand the problems caused by poor-quality, outdated marketing data. At the time, businesses are said to have often relied on static lists, spreadsheets and industry contacts to identify potential customers, with little reliable information available to help them target the right prospects.
Insight Data set out to change that by providing accurate, regularly updated market intelligence. The business subsequently built a dedicated research operation and developed technology that gave customers access to live data rather than relying on outdated lists.
Salestracker, first launched in 2008, was central to that development. Now, almost two decades later, a new generation of Salestracker is being introduced as a growth platform, bringing together market intelligence, sales management and marketing functionality to help businesses identify opportunities, manage prospects and turn insight into commercial results.
The company is also marking its 20th anniversary with Edge by Insight, a dedicated business growth event taking place on 17 September in Bromsgrove, Birmingham. An event designed to bring together industry professionals to explore practical approaches to growth, marketing, technology and commercial decision-making.
Andrew Scott said:
“When I started Insight Data, the aim was straightforward: give businesses better information so they could make better decisions. Twenty years later, the technology has changed enormously, but that fundamental need has not.
“Our focus now is on helping businesses understand their markets more clearly, identify genuine opportunities and use that intelligence to drive sustainable growth. That is what Edge and the next generation of Salestracker are all about.”
