Focusing on fire safety

Reynaers has launched its Fire Safe Partners Scheme in a bid to support fabricators and installers provide fire-resistant products and training.

The scheme offers qualified partners access to training, support and an exclusive range of fire-resistant products.

Reynaers’ fire-resistant products span windows, doors and curtain walling systems, building on existing ranges such as CW 50 and CS 77.

John McComb, technical director at Reynaers, said: “Glazing plays a significant role in modern architecture, so it’s critical that the very solutions which equip a building with aesthetic appeal also provide the functionality and safety requirements expected of today’s buildings. That’s why we’ve worked hard to enhance the performance of some of our most popular systems, making it possible to deliver on fire safety, without compromise.

“By making our fire-resistant products available exclusively to members of our Fire Safe Partners Scheme, we can ensure that each manufacturer and installer is equipped with the right training to successfully fabricate and install a product; be it a fire-rated door, window or curtain walling system.”

Having partnered with accredited, independent fire safety schemes, Certifire and Firas, Reynaers has been able to ensure the integrity of its Fire Safety Partners Scheme. As the certification for fabricators, Certifire assures performance, quality, reliability and traceability of products and systems, while Firas endorses the competency of installers to install and maintain systems to the necessary standards in order to achieve the required protection.

Through Reynaers’ scheme, only members can purchase, fabricate and install Reynaers’ fire safety products. Partners are also required to be Firas and/or Certifire accredited before becoming members.
