A sympathetic and technically precise installation that retained the gothic character of a period property while delivering a remarkable improvement in thermal performance and living conditions has earned Jadeite Glazing FENSA’s August Installation of the Month title.
Based in Hadlow, Kent, Jadeite Glazing is said to have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality window and door installations with a clear focus on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction.
According to FENSA’s independent assessor, August’s winning project is a prime example of how modern windows and doors can maintain the character of a property whilst vastly enhancing its thermal performance and living conditions.
Particular attention was paid to replicating the gothic styling of the outgoing windows, executed to a standard that preserves the distinctive character of the property without compromise.
The homeowners noted a significant improvement in living comfort during the summer months, with high-performance glass helping to prevent overheating.
“This project is a reminder that not every replacement window installation needs to transform the look of a building,” said Sam Davies, technical manager at FENSA. “Sometimes the greatest skill lies in making sure nobody notices the change – while the homeowner feels it every single day. Jadeite Glazing have done exactly that.
“The replication of the gothic styling here is exceptional,” continued Sam. “Getting that level of detail right whilst simultaneously delivering high-performance thermal glazing takes real expertise. As the August winner, Jadeite Glazing will be entered into the FENSA 2026 Installation of the Year competition, as well as receiving £50 in Amazon vouchers alongside professional social media assets to celebrate their success.
