Expert advice, special offers and a Ferrari prize draw

If you want to see CNCs in action, get expert advice on choosing and maintaining machinery, get a special offer on handling equipment and even have a chance to win a Ferrari track day experience, then you need to head to Stand Q41 at FIT.

Emmegi (UK) has been at every FIT Show since the event launched in 2013 and understands that visitors come to the show to see the machines up close and talk to the expert team about the right solutions for their own fabrication set ups.

The company says that it has probably the widest range of machinery for aluminium fabrication of any UK supplier. Its stand this time around will feature two of its most popular models – the Comet X4 4-axis machining centre and Precision TS2 twin-head saw.

According to Emmegi, these complement each other really well, both using the same software and operator interface, and both designed for similar volumes. The Comet X4 has a 7kW electrospindle which continuously rotates from 0° to 180° to machine on three sides of the profile, and the 3-axis Precision TS2 can cut from 45° inwards to 15° outwards and to 280 positions per degree.

Alongside these, there will also be an Itaca Coop Solution NC controlled crimper on show. This replaces manual crimping solutions and gives a quicker and more consistent result. It features two adjustable blades which can move in the X, Y and Z axes so it can accommodate virtually any size or shape of aluminium profile up to 120mm high. It is easy to switch between profiles as well without needing to manually change tools and reset, meaning the Solution crimper is ideal for fabricators who use more than one system.

The Emmegi (UK) sales team will all be on the stand to talk to new and existing customers about machine choices and Operations manager, Wayne Hunter, will also be giving advice on how to get the most from existing machines – and save money – with the right cleaning, servicing and maintenance schedules.

Managing director, Ian Latimer said: “After three years away, we can’t wait to get back to hosting customers on our stand again. This is the first fenestration trade show in Europe since the start of the pandemic, so it’s got extra significance for the whole of the Emmegi team, and we’ll have colleagues on the stand from our manufacturing HQ in Italy giving us their support too.”

As at previous FIT Shows, there will be an exclusive offer for visitors on Emmegi’s best-selling piece of handling equipment. Anyone who places an order during the show for two ACCA XL fitting and assembly benches will receive a third for free. With a normal individual selling price of £995, this is the kind of saving which could make a day spent at the show even more worthwhile.

One lucky winner will leave the show with something potentially even more exciting though, because Emmegi is running a prize draw on the stand to win a £400 Ferrari track day experience. Visitors simply need to leave their business card in order to be automatically entered.

The prize celebrates Emmegi’s proud Italian engineering heritage and the fact that, for more than 50 years, the company has been based in Modena, just a few miles from Ferrari’s base in Maranello.

Ian Latimer added: “Registration figures would suggest that this will be the busiest FIT Show ever so we’re expecting to see lots of existing and potential new customers, and we’ll be offering lots of Italian style hospitality of course.”
