Expansion planned

Family run, Blackpool-based Weru UK – a distributor for Weru, German fabricator of windows and doors – has planned a “major geographical expansion”, following a licensing deal with Weru Group Germany.

The business was established 33 years ago, and now serves a UK-wide client base. It plans to strengthen its operation by launching the Weru UK Network.

This move is expected to take group sales from approximately £4.5 million annually of installed windows and doors to more than £8 million in 2020.

Managed from an 8,000ft2 site, the Weru UK Network will see accredited partners offering developers and homeowners a “complete windows and doors solution”.

Kate Lindsay, sales director at Weru UK, said: “From £multi-million homes and commercial developments to cottages, we have completed over 18,000 Weru installations since we established the business over three decades ago.

“We are now looking to recruit suitable trade and retail partners to join in our success. We will be providing full facilities for sales and all technical matters with our new support centre for businesses looking to capitalise on the new build and renovation sector, majoring on Eco Houses and high performance triple glazing and security features.”

With more than 30 target areas for new accredited partners available, Weru UK is already assisted by other long established Weru UK Partners in Cheshire (Weru Eddisbury Construction) and the South coast Weru in Bexill. The company also has Weru UK Network partners up and running in Derby (Abbey Glass), and new starters in Tonbridge and Glasgow soon to be launched.

Weru UK will be showcasing the Weru UK Network to potential partners from the window industry at the FIT Show at the NEC in May.
