Composite door manufacturer, Comp Door, has supplied a new front door to a local resident who had suffered from a stroke in his home, and who had his entrance door broken down by emergency services in order to gain entrance to his property and give him vital assistance.

The local community in the Newcastle-Under-Lyme area of North Staffordshire, which is close to Comp Door’s HQ, had put out a plea on social media seeking local businesses who could help to quickly provide a new front door to re-secure his home whilst he was in hospital.

Comp Door happily agreed to manufacture and gift the elderly gentleman with a brand-new front door the next day, working closely with a local installer customer, Target Windows, who also agreed to fit the new door free of charge.

Richard Diliberto, sales director of Comp Door, said: “As a business we support several local initiatives and charitable causes. Hearing the sudden distress and circumstances around the gentleman’s illness we wanted to offer our assistance.”

Charlotte Lea-Atkin, a neighbour to the elderly gentleman, added: “Seeing the house left unsecure and vulnerable to theft was worrying so the local community quickly began asking around to see if any local businesses would be willing to help. Comp Door was fantastic, it was the first business to respond, offering to manufacture a new composite door the next day at no cost!

“They also worked with one of their customers, Target Windows, to install the door professionally and swiftly at no cost whatsoever between them. These two businesses not only did a wonderful deed for an elderly gentleman, they secured his home again with a new door that is top-quality and simply stunning!”
