Caldwell celebrates 50 years
Caldwell Hardware has been supplying window hardware for more than a century and 2023 marks 50 years since it expanded its manufacturing into the UK market.
During this time, it introduced several industry firsts, such as the first moving coil constant force balance, the first co-located casement window operator and lock, and the first heavy-duty spiral balance.
Caldwell recently joined with Yale, to create a wider, comprehensive hardware range from one supplier.
Paul Atkinson, managing director at Yale, commented: “Caldwell’s integration with Yale is an exciting development for both brands and allows Caldwell to benefit from the endorsement of our global organisation, without compromising its current brand positioning.
“Caldwell has cemented its place as a world-leading window hardware specialist, with over 1 billion balances sold to date. It offers a great complimentary range to our existing portfolio.
“For example, our Vertex decorative furniture is a fresh, on-trend range that offers the ultimate solution for vertical sliding sash windows and is complimented perfectly by the unseen but essential Caldwell balances.”
Caldwell produces one of the widest ranges of spring balances currently available for sliding window systems.
