Annual golf event

The Conservatory Outlet Network was brought together once again for its annual Golf Open, this year hosted at The Oxfordshire Golf and Spa Resort on May 9.

The gathering included 12 teams from across the network of retailers, made up of staff from various departments within their businesses, from office staff to owners, who had travelled from across the UK.

This year’s battle saw Yorkshire-based Visual Conservatories, Windows and Doors take their first win of the competition. The champions were closely followed by 2015 winners, 5 Star Windows and Conservatories, who missed out on a joint victory by just one point.

The ‘Outlet Open’ has been a fixture of the fabricator’s event calendar for four years, in which time Park Lane Windows, 5 Star Windows and Conservatories and EAS Windows have also emerged victorious and had their name etched on the trophy.

Pete Stone from 5 Star Windows and Conservatories got nearest the pin on the fifth hole, while Simon Burns from Visual Conservatories made the longest drive on the tenth hole.

Conservatory Outlet managing director, Michael Giscombe said: “Running as part of our enhanced schedule of events, the annual Conservatory Outlet Golf Open provides us with a great opportunity to be able to invite people from all departments of the retail network and say a small but sincere thank you to installation staff, surveyors, office staff and other valued individuals.”
