Tolerance and security to the core

Glazerite UK Group’s sales and marketing director Jeff Dunn unveils the trade fabricator’s latest composite door.

We want our installer partners to stand out from the crowd in their own markets, and to do that, it’s essential we partner with suppliers who allow us to do the same.

Step forward Doorco, which has launched a ground-breaking new solid core composite door product, which will be available from Glazerite later this summer.

As the UK’s leading composite door manufacturer, the arrival of Gripcore technology cements Doorco’s position in the market, and we’re delighted to be able to manufacture the product for installers.

The new hybrid door slab has been engineered using Gripcore technology, with a solid timber core encased in a GRP skin for exceptional tolerance and security. It balances the features and benefits Doorco is renowned for, combining quality and security with innovation and aesthetics.

Impressively robust, it has been engineered to deliver a strong, heavy and rigid door.  Gripcore Technology is a unique matrix of cross laminated engineered timber and hardwood stiles and rails, pressed with Doorco’s signature 4mm GRP skins, and designed not to crack, de-laminate or move, bow or twist more than 3mm.

Doorco can always be relied upon to lead in the style stakes too. With a variety of exciting new glass and colour options on offer, the range includes both traditional and contemporary choices, combining bright colours, seamless finishing and eclectic detailing that will lift the focal point of any home and, importantly, give our installers a leg up over the competition.

A key part of Glazerite’s service is being able to meet the needs of our customers’ own customers. PVCU composite doors appeal because they offer the aesthetics of timber without the time-consuming sanding and painting maintenance wood requires. Backed up with the safety, security and durability a solid timber core offers, Gripcore is set to revolutionise the market, while tapping into the homeowner’s desire to stamp their own style.

With the help of Doorco’s resident creative consultant, Jeyda Heselton, the range includes exclusive glass styles – Tectronic and Peak – both striking designs set to offer the homeowner both class and individuality. The fresh colours on offer range from the classic chartwell green and timeless blue, to the contemporary and lush Tropical Rainforest and fun and funky Tree Frog.

Style-wise, the Gripcore technology is available on six of Doorco’s most popular doors, which are used to create a wide range of designs, including Farmhouse and Monza II. There are plans to add even more new styles and bespoke glass options down the line.

Like the rest of our door range, we will be supplying the Gripcore range fitted with the high performance Avantis multipoint locking system, which gives the homeowner the ability to upgrade to a smart Kubu lock, complete with remote lock monitoring technology. The range is also fitted with the Ultion Diamond sold secure cylinder as standard, which has been designed by Brisant Secure to outwit even the most forceful of burglars.

We are really excited about the potential Gripcore will offer our installers. Having innovative solutions in the composite door market not only sets us apart, it sets our installers apart too. It also allows us to do what we do best: support our installers with a comprehensive range of products and services that allow them to shine.
