One year on, Sheerline Bespoke has proven there is demand for specialist roof-related products that are easy to fabricate and even easier to install, which is why theyβre feeling confident about the future…
Created to give fabricators and installers a simpler route into high-end aluminium glazed roof systems, Sheerline Bespoke has quickly established itself just a year after its official launch thanks to a combination of product innovation and a practical, customer-first approach.
And the results are already clear.
βItβs been a great first year, but it really has felt like weβve blinked. I donβt know where itβs gone,β said commercial director, Chris Cooke. βCustomers have found us as much as weβve found them which shows the market was ready for something different.β
That early momentum has translated into steady growth, with new customers coming on board at pace and strong engagement across the sector. For a business launched at the FIT Show just last May, it marks a confident start.
The right foundations
A key factor behind that success has been the seamless transition for the senior team of Chris and operations director Chris Baron. Having moved from Prefix, both found an immediate cultural fit.
βIt felt very familiar straight away,β Chris explained. βSheerline as a business shares a lot of the same values around quality, innovation and customer support. That made the move smooth, and it meant we could focus on building Sheerline Bespoke without missing a step.β
That alignment has also been supported by Sheerlineβs wider structure. As part of a vertically integrated manufacturing group, Sheerline Bespoke has been able to build on strong foundations.
βBeing part of that bigger picture makes a real difference,β said Chris. βIt gives us control, consistency and the ability to innovate quickly. You can see that in the products weβre bringing to market.
βGarnalex was awarded the Kings Award for Innovation 2025 for aspects of the Sheerline system; thatβs a rare thing and itβs testament to what theyβre doing and where weβre going and that bleeds into what weβre doing at Sheerline Bespoke.β
Over the past year, those products have been central to the divisionβs growth. Installation-ready kits such as the S1 Roof Lantern and S2 Conservatory Roof System have given customers an accessible way to expand into aluminium roofing, without the need for specialist fabrication expertise or additional overheads.
More recently, the introduction of the S3 Architectural Glazed Roof system signalled the next step forward.
βItβs not just about adding another product,β says Cooke. βWeβve got a healthy pipeline of innovation thatβs designed to push boundaries. The S3 is a big part of that, and thereβs more to come.β
Keeping up with the market
That focus on innovation comes at a time when the market itself is shifting rapidly. In just the last year, Sheerline Bespoke has seen clear changes in both product demand and design trends.
βEven in the last 12 months, the sector has changed; it never stands still and the move away from PVC towards aluminium is constantly accelerating,β said Chris.
βHomeowners want cleaner lines, bigger spans and something that feels like a proper extension, not an add-on. Thatβs driving a shift towards more architectural designs.β
This is reflected in changing roof styles, with simpler mono-pitch and lean-to designs now dominating. βOver 60% of what weβre producing now are lean-to designs, and that tells you everything about where the market is going.β
Continued investment
Supporting that opportunity is Sheerline Bespokeβs latest investment, a new purpose-built showroom at its Derbyshire manufacturing facility. Designed to showcase the full S Series range, the space gives customers a hands-on experience of the systems.
βThe showroom is a big milestone for us,β said Chris. βCustomers can see the products up close, but also how theyβre made. That transparency builds confidence and helps them sell more effectively.β
Looking ahead, Sheerline Bespoke is focused on maintaining its momentum while continuing to evolve with the market.
βThere will always be challenges and cost pressures, but demand for premium aluminium solutions is only going one way,β added Chris. βWeβve made a strong start, but this is just the beginning. With continued investment and a clear direction, weβre in a great position for the future.β
