Regency Glass has officially launched its next-generation triple-glazed unit, Regency Triple featuring Corning Enlighten Glass, now available to customers nationwide.
Following a successful transition to its new 420,000ft2 manufacturing facility at 4 Thunderbolt Drive, Warrington, the company is bringing to market a product that redefines what triple glazing can achieve in practical, real-world applications.
A new standard for triple
Triple glazing has long been positioned as the pinnacle of thermal performance. However, in the UK market, widespread adoption has been limited by well-known challenges: excessive weight, increased unit thickness, and compatibility issues with existing window systems.
Regency Triple has been engineered specifically to remove these barriers.
Developed in collaboration with Corning Incorporated, a global leader in glass and materials science, the unit features Corning Enlighten Glass as its middle pane. At just 0.5mm thick, this advanced boro-aluminosilicate glass enables a triple-glazed configuration that is significantly thinner and lighter than conventional alternatives.
The result is a high-performance triple-glazed unit that fits seamlessly within a standard 28mm cavity, something previously unattainable in the UK replacement window market.
Performance without compromise
Regency Triple delivers exceptional thermal efficiency while maintaining the practicality required by fabricators and installers:
• 0.8 W/m².K U-value in a 28mm cavity.
• 0.6 W/m².K in a 36mm cavity.
• Up to 0.5 W/m².K from 40mm cavity and above.
Despite this performance, the unit is only 5% heavier than a standard double-glazed unit and up to 30% lighter than conventional triple glazing, dramatically improving handling, installation efficiency, and compatibility with existing frames and hardware.
This balance of performance and usability ensures Regency Triple can be adopted at scale across retrofit, renovation, and new-build projects without requiring costly system changes.
Engineered for real-world application
At the core of the unit’s performance is Corning Enlighten Glass, which offers outstanding thermal durability and resistance to thermal stress. Its low coefficient of thermal expansion significantly reduces the risk of field breakage, eliminating one of the key concerns associated with untoughened soda-lime glass.
Combined with Thermo Plastic Spacer (TPS) technology, Regency Triple allows flexible cavity configurations while maintaining slim sightlines and consistent insulating performance, even when using laminated glass.
This gives fabricators and specifiers greater control, without adding complexity.
Next-gen manufacturing
The launch of Regency Triple follows Regency Glass’s successful move into its new Warrington facility, now fully operational and purpose-built for advanced IGU production.
The site represents a major investment in automation and scale, featuring multiple Glaston Ultra TPS lines, Hegla SortJet technology, Hegla Galactic TG cutting tables and other specialised thin-glass processing equipment making this facility one of the most advanced IGU manufacturing facilities in Europe.
This enhanced capability enables Regency Glass to manufacture Regency Triple with the precision, consistency, and capacity required to support customers nationwide.
