More space and more style

The new Triple-track system from PatioMaster delivers the light-filled, indoor-outdoor space that’s top of homeowners’ wish lists, according to Carmen Velilla, the company’s brand manager.

Home extensions are big business for our industry. Research reveals that planning applications for single-storey extensions – mostly kitchen extensions – are up 49% in the past five years. And what’s the one thing every homeowner wants as part of their new extension? Large glass doors that open onto the garden. The doors they install help to create the aspirational, light-filled living spaces that conjure up long, sunny days and indoor-outdoor living.

When homeowners are looking at the door options for their extension, sliding patio doors have a lot to offer and our new Triple-track system opens up even more possibilities to create the dream space.

Our Triple-track door system offers a wider clear opening than a conventional patio door – up to 25% more open space. It gives the option of having two or four sliding sashes that stack neatly behind each other when opened, so they deliver the open-house feel homeowners want, even on smaller frame sizes. Unlike bifold doors, sliding patio doors don’t take up space when they’re open, so they create a much less bulky look. Plus, there’s a bigger glass to frame ratio with the Triple-track system, so the effect of a glass wall when the doors are closed is enhanced too.

We’ve also taken care of thermal efficiency. Triple-track doors can be glazed with high-performance, 24mm or 28mm sealed units. The rigid, 70mm multi-chamber outer frame is made from an insulating PVCU/aluminium composite which reduces thermal transmittance across the frame, while highly effective seals eliminate drafts.

Security is covered too. Triple-track frames have rigid steel reinforcing; we use a six-point locking system, and our anti-lift systems ensure that when a Triple-track door is locked, panes cannot be lifted out of the frame.

The system is available in chamfered and ovolo variations, so it matches existing doors and windows and creates a simple, coherent look across a building. The trend for colour is also covered: there is a choice of 28 colours and finishes, including grained and flat textures plus dual colour options. There’s a choice of white, gold, brass, chrome, black and silver handle colours.

And because they have stainless steel tracks, open with a smooth single motion and there are fewer moving parts than on the bifold alternative, the Triple-track system will deliver years of easy-to-use, easy-to-maintain operation.

The Triple-track system is good for installers too. It can accommodate a maximum aperture width of 6m and a mechanically jointed version is available, and features such as edge-located rollers mean easy adjustment and the system works perfectly with standard sills and frame packers.

There are ten independent PatioMaster dealers around the UK and it’s your local dealer you work with, so you get all the advantages of a national brand with the ability to build a relationship with a local supplier. The teams that build our doors, only build our doors, so you get real expertise in every aspect of sliding door manufacture, maintenance and installation.

If you’re a fabricator you’re able to add sliding patios to your portfolio without the associated costs and risks, all with a five working day lead time on white doors.

If you’re an installer, there’s the joy of working with the quality and performance homeowners love.

We’re not complacent, and we’re still determined to be the best and to innovate.
