The start of a new year always brings a fresh sense of optimism for the future as we prepare for new opportunities and implement our strategies for growth. It’s also a great time for us to take stock and process the results of the previous year. This allows us to set ourselves ambitious goals for the next 12 months and streamline procedures across our organisation to maximise efficiency.

At Origin, 2021 was a very strong year, despite the challenges we all faced. Indeed, we were busier than ever, launching new products and growing our network of more than 1,200 partners. As we begin 2022, we are still experiencing exceptionally high levels of demand, which fills us with confidence as we hit the ground running in January. As always, we will continue to innovate and develop new ways of supporting our partners, who are so integral to our success.

We now have an opportunity to back up the commitments made last year, allowing us to futureproof our business, whilst continuing to grow. In 2021, our largest investment came in the form of our new 55,000ft² warehouse facility located in Bicester, named ‘The Ark’. The introduction of this warehouse has ensured that our stock, supply chain, and production operations will remain intact, no matter what this year has in store.

With the entire industry trying to overcome supply chain concerns amid Brexit and COVID-19 uncertainty, The Ark ensures that our ‘on time, in full’ promise is supported, regardless of the order size. This means every Origin partner continues to receive our gold-standard level of service.

We are also very excited to be progressing our ‘one-click’ vision. This means that every process, from sales and procurement through to delivery, will be triggered using the click of just one button.

When a partner confirms an order through our unique OSS system, a works order is automatically created, and materials are deducted from stock control. These materials will then be automatically replenished, while line supply can be undertaken, manufacturing kick-started and delivery scheduled. This is all done without any human intervention. This is really exciting for us and we can’t wait to see the benefits it has on our partners in 2022 and beyond.

This main thing we are looking forward to doing in 2022 is working alongside our exceptional network of partners once again. With product launches, support initiatives, and continual development in the pipeline, we are sure that 2022 will be another big success for the Origin family!
