Four new products mark expansion

Four brand new products will make their debut at this year’s FIT Show.

The company is investing in expanding and developing its product range as the market for aluminium continues to increase. Aluk’s reputation in the trade market may have been founded largely on its popular bifold doors, but its rapidly expanding range is designed to give customers the opportunity to add further Aluk products to their portfolios and build profitable new business strands.

The FIT Show will allow customers to see products introduced since the end of 2016, alongside the new launches.

For example, the stand will feature a slimmer version of the Aluk BSC94 Optio sliding door launched just a couple of months ago. A narrower 45mm profile means this door, in both inline and lift and slide options, now has all the contemporary styling that homeowners are looking for when replacing outdated patio doors. The inline version has PAS24 approval as well, so even meets the requirements of Approved Document Q for new build.

Aluk has also introduced new options in its 58BW Optio window system recently, including a Heritage window which is an ideal replacement for steel in traditional applications. The 58BW three-chamber system is easy to fabricate and comes with a full range of cills, trims, coupling and bay window options, so it can satisfy even the most demanding planning specification.

At the commercial end of the market, Aluk’s GT55 TB commercial door system has become, what the company believes, is the first aluminium commercial door system to achieve comprehensive PAS24 and SBD certification in single and double door configuration, with both fan and side lights.

In terms of what’s brand new on the Aluk stand, the emphasis is very much on expanding the range still further, with new products helping customers to target clearly defined market sectors.

For the mid-market sector, the company is introducing a new Luminia branded bifold door at the show. The Luminia F82 has low U-values, slim sight lines and availability in a full range of popular colour options.

The Luminia range also gets an exciting new sliding door at FIT, with the same style and performance benefits as the F82, specifically for those applications where the customer wants something different to a bifold.

Aluk’s premium offering is now to be branded Infinium, and the FIT Show will see the launch of a flagship sliding door system with sightlines of just 21mm. On the Aluk stand, the Infinium door on display will be 3,000mm (h) x 4,000mm (w) so that visitors will be able to see just how much light it lets in with true panoramic, wall to wall and floor to ceiling views.

The Infinium door doesn’t compromise looks over performance though and has U-values of just 1.3W/m2K with double glazing and smooth, simple operation with a fully concealed outer-frame and sash.

The new veranda system enables homeowners to create a stylish, contemporary outdoor living space that bridges the gap between house and garden. It can even be fitted with glass sliding doors and side walls to create a year-round indoor/outdoor option.

Aluk’s managing director, Russell Yates, said: “We’re making major investments in new products which can help our customers set themselves apart from the competition and, just as importantly, we’re backing that up with fantastic technical, sales and marketing support from our team of experts in Aluminium.”
