Deflecting future uncertainty

At Origin, we are constantly innovating to ensure we offer the best products and levels of service to our partners. Our aim is to make their lives as hassle-free as we can.

One way we have done this is by launching our latest product – the OS-29 sliding door system – to provide another best-on-the-market option. We have also expanded our bespoke partner training programme to include our newly launched webinar series, designed to keep our partners updated on all product details and developments. Finally, we established the Origin Commercial Department, which strengthens the offering we can provide to partners looking to secure large-scale commercial projects.

We are living in very uncertain times, thanks to Covid and the aftermath of Brexit. Delays and supply shortages continue to be a sticking point across the country, causing major problems for many working in the fenestration. Not only is cashflow affected if supply is disrupted, but so is business reputation, as jobs take longer, leading to professionals having to turn down future projects due to capacity limitations.

With this in mind, we invested in a 55,000ft2 warehouse facility in Bicester.

Known as The Ark, the warehouse has allowed us to increase our storage capacity by 87%. This in turn means we have been able to move our current stock from our production facility to our new warehouse, allowing us to expand our production site and increase supply.

We have also invested significantly in materials to increase our already well-stocked holding. This substantial investment in our supply chain, stock, and production leaves us confident that we can get through any future uncertainty, whether that be Brexit, another pandemic, or anything else.

Our ethos is for our partners to never miss an install date and we are confident that The Ark will ensure we have the capabilities to continue this. Our on-time-in-full promise will continue to be delivered as we meet the demands of the industry.

There is no doubt that the last 18 months have been tough, but at Origin, we are continuing to adapt our business to ensure we deliver a gold standard service to our partners, so that they can deliver the same to their customers. Investing in this new facility is the most recent demonstration of our commitment to this.
