Coming soon: A full bi-fold door offering

When Durham-based AT Precision opened its doors just over two years ago, it launched something unique to aluminium bi-fold door fabricators – the Everglide range of bi-fold hardware.

The range includes door rollers, top guides, pull handles, cleats and shootbolt handles – and all of these products are compatible with all major systems.

While most fabricators generally source their hardware from their systems company, AT Precision offers to meet their needs at a much more affordable rate – by going directly to the company, fabricators can essentially cut out the middleman and potentially save up to £60K a year.

A few months after opening, the Everseal range of gaskets was launched, in part thanks to a factory expansion to 18,000ft² and the investment in two new extrusion lines.

A range of wedge, captive, flipper and bubble gaskets is now available, and like the range of hardware, is compatible with all major systems.

In the past year, AT Precision says it has gone from strength to strength, having expanded its product portfolio with a range of plastic ancillaries, a high-quality range of espagnolette window handles, and the Ingenious Duplex MPL from Ingenious Locks.

By the end of 2021, the company had established itself as a leading bi-fold hardware supplier, with a reputation for quality, quick turnaround times, affordable prices, and most importantly, reliability.

Today, fabricators can source everything they need for a bi-fold door from AT Precision, bar the actual profile and glass – but that’s about to change.

A truly unique offering

In the next few months, AT Precision will not only offer the high-quality range of Everglide hardware, but the Everglide range of aluminium profile as well.

Thanks to strategic investment in machinery to manufacture the profile, as well as an extrusion machine to manufacture a thermal break, the company will soon be able supply everything fabricators need to manufacture a bi-fold – meaning the ‘middleman’ can be cut out entirely.

“Our customers have always been able to rely on us for their bi-fold hardware needs, but we wanted to take this a step further and offer them high-quality aluminium profile for their bi-folds as well, meaning the only thing missing is the actual glass,” explains AT Precision sales director, Michael Hewitt.

“This significant investment will also see us significantly expanding our facility to 120,000ft², 40,000 of which will be used for manufacturing, and the rest for storage, ensuring that we’re always stocked up enough to meet customer demand and deliver quick turnaround times.”

As well as a full suite of high-quality products, AT Precision says it also offers ‘exceptional’ service, designed to make its customers’ lives as easy as possible.

“We offer a wide range of products, but if a fabricator needs something specific that we don’t have, they’re more than welcome to send us a sample – or even a drawing – and we will have tooling made up to meet their exact needs,” Michael explains.
