With this in mind, we were thrilled to launch the OS-29, our newest sliding door, in April. It is the slimmest semi-dry glaze system in the UK, featuring a 29mm sightline. Not only does this new product have huge customer appeal, but it also now covers all bases when it comes to homeowner requests. This in turn generates growth for them, which is our goal.
The OS-29 is the latest addition to our Origin Patio Sliding Door range, joining the already well-established OS-44 and OS-77, which boast 44mm and 77mm sightline options respectively. It has been introduced as a result of market feedback, as there is increased demand for sliding doors that offer slimmer sightlines, are easier to transport and more straightforward to install than wet glazed systems.
Like all Origin products, the new system has been engineered to work flawlessly. It is manufactured from premium grade aluminium, is available in over 150 RAL colours, and offers an industry-leading guarantee of up to 20 years. In addition, it is already available for Origin partners to quote and order on our revolutionary OSS, is PAS24:2016 certified, and can achieve a U-value of 1.2W/m2K. So, it’s something really special for Origin partners to use to their advantage.
This latest innovation not only demonstrates Origin’s desire to continuously improve, but also our commitment to our partners, equipping them with an ever-increasing number of top quality products, designed to meet any customer’s needs. We foresee a busy summer for the latest addition to the Origin Home Range.

2020 was obviously a tough year for everyone, yet we still managed to develop a new system that has significant consumer appeal, just so our partners can stay ahead.
As a business, we worked incredibly hard to enable us to bring this product to market. To me, this epitomises the Origin gold standard of service, and I’m incredibly proud that we continued to innovate during a pandemic, just so our network of partners can grow.
