A full suite of glass rooflights

Brett Martin has made several updates to its glass rooflight range, including new products, colours and sizes. Here, we find out what’s new for the specialist daylight solutions manufacturer.

Glass rooflights are an architecturally stunning means of introducing more natural light into a space, whether it’s a period terraced home, a quirky grand design or a contemporary commercial building.

The Brett Martin glass rooflight range includes a wide variety of design options. All are manufactured in the UK with energy efficiency and technical performance in mind – and backed by a 10-year warranty,

This year, several new design options have been added to the Brett Martin glass rooflight ranges.

Roof lanterns

Boasting an attractive slimline profile that allows in more light, the Brett Martin rooflight is available in a contemporary four-panel design to maximise daylight, or a six-panel design with additional glazing bars offers a more traditional style.

According to Brett Martin, the Roof Lantern is highly thermally efficient and boasts a rapid installation, with the only sealant bond being required between the roof and the rooflight itself.

Brett Martin recently announced that it is now able to offer its Roof Lantern in bespoke sizes, as well as several new powder coated colour options. Specifiers of the Roof Lantern can now select from combinations of RAL 7016 grey, RAL 9010 white and RAL 9005 black for the internal and external frame finish, to suit any design requirement.

Flat glass rooflights

A modern alternative to the Roof Lantern, the Flat Glass rooflight range offers a stylish and unobtrusive means of bringing light into contemporary building designs.

Available in bespoke sizes as well as more than 100 standard sizes – including circular options – all Flat Glass square and rectangular rooflights can now be coated in RAL 7016 grey and shortly RAL 9005 black.

Furthermore, Brett Martin has announced that its Flat Glass rooflight has recently secured BBA approval – an industry recognised certification denoting the product’s quality, safety and reliability.

Flat glass access hatch

Finally, Brett Martin has added an entirely new product to its glass rooflight range this summer – the Flat Glass Access Hatch.

Said to be easy to install and operate, the double-glazed hatch comes fully assembled and ready to fit with a thermally isolated aluminium frame, PVC kerb and 24V tandem actuators. A 90% Argon filled cavity unit offers combined U-values as low as 1.72W/m2K, while a wind and rain sensor can also be specified to enable improved ventilation with minimal hassle. Plus, the glazing specification can be customised to provide solar control, tinting or obscured glazing should the customer require it.

Safety assured

Crucially, all of Brett Martin’s rooflights are manufactured using laminated glass instead of toughed glass. Laminated glass is engineered not only to resist breakage as much as possible but – if it does break – to do so in a way that is both safe and secure for those in the vicinity.

Tony Isaac, sales director at Brett Martin, commented: “We’re delighted to be able to expand our glass rooflight range with new bespoke sizes and colour options, making it easier than ever for customers to find the ideal rooflight solution for their project. Plus, with the addition of the new Flat Glass Access Hatch we now offer a full suite of solutions for any project and can provide easy and safe access to any roof.”
