A contemporary collection

The home improvement market is ever changing. Much like the fashion industry, new style trends pop up every year.
One such trend that’s becoming increasingly popular within the home renovation sector is the aluminium door. They’re strong, low maintenance, and they look great. There is a downside though: due to the materials used and the manufacturing procedure they also come with a hefty price tag.
At Solidor we’re continually scanning the market, talking to our customers, and taking expert advice so that our range and accessories are always ahead of the game and on trend.
Our development team have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring you a brand-new series of ‘aluminium look’ timber core composite doors we’re calling The Contemporary Collection.
It’s a new and exclusive range of ultra-contemporary doors, combining all the qualities of Solidor that you’ve come to love, but with the luxury aesthetic of an aluminium entrance door.
Helping our trade partners grow is fundamental to our business. With the rise in consumer demand for aluminium widows the natural progression was for us to develop a range of timber core composite doors with an ali look and feel to aid us in doing so.
The Contemporary Collection has been developed to sit alongside our existing Traditional and Italia Collections as our premium offering and will give installers and homeowners more variety.
Features in the Contemporary Collection include:
Five new door styles. Each one has been designed by our in-house team, meaning that they’re completely unique to Solidor.
Aesthetically pleasing. We’ve used the same ABS plastic skin to coat the door as you’d find within our Traditional and Italia collections. However, we’ve foiled them to give a smooth, metallic finish, leaving the appearance of a real aluminium entrance and they’re available in four new colours options only available from Solidor.
Solid and secure. Each door style is manufactured using the same Solidor 48mm timber core, so they hold the heat making them much warmer to the touch than a typical aluminium door.
Matching frames. Every frame is foiled to match the door, giving a real sense of luxury and a true aluminium effect finish.
Beautiful hardware. We’ve worked alongside our hardware providers to deliver a new suite of furniture specifically for The Contemporary Collection. Long, elongated bars and symmetrical lever handles have been chosen to heighten the premium feel of this range.
Flush fixings. The stainless-steel features and glazing surrounds within each new style are flush finished to the door which again has been designed to give a true aluminium aesthetic.
Modern glass. We’ve kept the glass range simple by offering modern satin finish on all the designs. You’ll already know that security is always at the forefront of what we do so every glazing unit is triple glazed, laminated, and low-e so they’re secure and thermally efficient too.
Secure as standard. Each door is PAS 24:2016 certified, Secured by Design, and carries the Ultion 3-Star diamond rated cylinder as standard.
