Star turn announced

Glass Times editor reports on the latest G-Awards-related news…

Marcus Brigstock has been announced as this year’s G-Awards host.

Marcus is regarded as a major comedy, writing and acting talent, performing stand up to sell-out audiences on tour nationally, and he will no doubt hit the right note on November 29.

If you are struggling to place him, Marcus can usually be found on BBC Radio 4, with regular appearances on I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, The Now Show and Just A Minute; he has written and recorded three series and four specials of his hit show Giles Wemmbley-Hogg Goes Off; and most recently he co-starred alongside Kerry Godliman in The Wilsons Save The World, the second series of which is now being aired.

On telly, Marcus appeared on Famous and Fighting Crime (C4), Argumental (Dave), Live At The Apollo (BBC1), Have I Got News For You (BBC1), Mock the Week (BBC2), QI (BBC2), Sorry I’ve Got No Head (BBC1), The Late Edition (BBC4), and the 11 O’Clock Show (Channel 4).

The Awards Supplement was mailed out with the November issue of Glass Times, so you’ve had time to compare the shortlisted entries and circle your favourite – only two weeks left to go!
