Derw Glass is celebrating 35 years in business with a major step forward in automated insulated glass production, supported by Edgetech’s Super Spacer technology.
In this interview, Noella Palmer and Angharad Palmer discuss the company’s move from rigid spacer bars to flexible Super Spacer as part of a new automated IGU line, and the impact it has had one year on.
They share how the investment has helped Derw Glass improve unit consistency, reduce wastage, streamline factory operations and increase output, while maintaining the family values that have shaped the business since it was founded in West Wales in 1991.
The interview also highlights the role of Edgetech’s support throughout the project, from early planning and forecasting through to installation and ongoing partnership.
