Leads 2 Trade, the provider of double-qualified sales leads to installers, has introduced new in-house AI-driven process improvements to identify more genuine sales opportunities and help members secure more appointments from existing enquiry volumes.

The technology is being used primarily to help re-engage with homeowners who may still be looking for quotes after initial contact attempts via the contact centre were unsuccessful.

According to Leads 2 Trade, the new systems are designed to support the company’s experienced contact centre team, helping them focus on consumers who are most likely to convert.

Andy Royle, managing director of Leads 2 Trade, said:

“The adoption of AI is helping us take some of the heavy lifting out of the qualification process, but it is by no means replacing the human element. We still speak to every consumer individually because that’s a key part of what makes our leads so valuable to installers, particularly as we are booking appointments and surveys in for over 75% of our members.

“What AI allows us to do is work in conjunction with our lead management systems that work off algorithm’s that determine the maximum number of calls by a call centre operative before the systems decide that their resource time is better spent on calling fresher enquiries.

“Consumers are guided through a more intelligent enquiry process that adapts according to their responses, helping us identify genuine intent before our team even picks up the phone.”

The new approach is said to reflect changing consumer preferences, particularly among homeowners who are more comfortable initially engaging online before requesting to speak to a member of the team directly.

As part of the process, consumers can choose to request a call back at their convenience to agree and arrange a time to book the appointment or survey.

Andy added:

“Using traditional methods, we were effectively qualifying and appointing around 25 to 35% of raw enquiries which still left a large amount of unutilised data.

“AI is helping us re-engage with those homeowners days later to ask if they are still looking for quotes which is creating more opportunities for our members without compromising lead quality.”
