By Gregory Kelly, managing director at Entrance Composite Door Solutions, explains how the company goes the extra mile for installers.

In the UK glazing sector, anyone can sell a composite door. The market is crowded, and price is often the loudest conversation. But when I speak to our trade partners – professional installers serious about building a reputation – what they value most is something beyond a transaction: true partnership.

When I founded Entrance Composite Door Solutions, my goal was never just to manufacture doors. It was to create a network of professionals who felt their supplier was genuinely on their side – a seamless part of their business.

For us, success is directly linked to the success of our installers. That’s why we call it “The Entrance Way” – our promise to push boundaries in every area, from product design to factory operations, ensuring our partners stay ahead in a competitive market.

Quality first
Homeowners are savvy, demanding doors that deliver security, aesthetics, and energy efficiency. Compliance with Part L and Part Q is no longer a differentiator; with the Future Homes Standard looming, it’s simply the baseline.

Our strategy is ‘quality-first,’ refusing to join the race to the bottom on price. Installers can trust that every door they fit today will perform flawlessly for years, reflecting positively on their craft. All our doors are routinely tested to Part Q and PAS24, and we continue to invest in materials and processes that make reliability standard, not exceptional.

What separates a supplier from a partner is responsiveness. We innovate based on the challenges our installers flag.

For example, our Dinky Door Collection emerged from feedback about sourcing high-quality doors for heritage properties and smaller openings. With a minimum height of just 1,720mm, it enables installers to secure business in the heritage renovation sector while maintaining the same high security and aesthetic standards as our full-sized doors.

Investing in support
Promises of quality and partnership require consistent delivery, which means investing in our operations. Over the past year, we’ve expanded our Nottingham facility to 19,000ft2 and introduced advanced machinery like an in-house Schuberts spray booth and bespoke factory software.

Every investment is designed to futureproof lead times, improve production accuracy, and streamline workflows for the trade. Installers depend on us for fast, reliable delivery, and operational stability is the engine behind that promise.

Not just about the door
Looking ahead, the composite door sector will only get tougher. Installers determined to build a strong reputation need supplier relationships that match their drive.

At Entrance Composite Door Solutions, we provide partners with products, technical support, operational consistency, and trust to help them not just survive, but thrive. That is The Entrance Way: a forward-thinking partnership where your success is at the heart of ours.
