In July 2025, Unique Window Systems announced that it had bought out aluminium specialist, Alufold Direct, a great result for both brands in a year that was marked by a number of high-profile acquisitions and business failures.

A little over six months down the line, the newly rebranded AluFold Windows has enjoyed a positive start to the year, is well set to take advantage of continued demand for aluminium products with a more focused product offer and a revised business strategy – and has even launched a new PVC-U line to give customers in the North West a more comprehensive ‘one stop shop’.

I caught up with AluFold Windows’ managing director, Neal Addison, and commercial director, Rhodri John, at the start of the year and they explained more about all the hard work that has gone into transforming the business, and their outlook for 2026.

That interview will be printed in the March issue of Glass Times, and will also be able to view on our new and improved website, which has been completely redesigned and now offers a more modern, user friendly, news focused format – plus the ability to upload content and measure valuable analytics.

Another key feature is that it is optimised for video, which includes Glass Times Live interviews, as well as informative and engaging content from across the industry.
