FIT Show organisers have published the programme for its new feature aimed at installers at next week’s FIT Show.
The new ‘Installer Hub’ will run across all three days at FIT Show and provide visitors with an extra opportunity to see products brought to life via live installation demonstration, presented by exhibitors.
Visitors can watch two product demonstrations on each day of the show from debut exhibitor Whitesales (Tuesday 23rd & Wednesday 24th May at 11.30 and 15.00, and Thursday 25th May at 11.00 and 14.00.)
Whitesales will demonstrate the assembly of its new lantern, SkyVu alongside the em.glaze flat rooflight and new proprietary timber sloping upstand.
Strongdor will also demonstrate a live installation of its Firedor Thermal door. The demonstration will see Strongdor’s technical experts try and beat the clock by installing the door within 30 minutes. Visitors can watch the demonstration at 12.45 on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th May.
Made for Trade will demonstrate its lantern roof installation and bi-fold door frame. Visitors can watch both demonstrations, back to back, on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th May at 14.00 and on the last day of FIT Show at 12.30.
The GGF will demonstrate its new pulse testing system on Tuesday and Wednesday of FIT Show at 16.00. Visitors will also be able to see the pulse testing barrel up close on the GGF stand throughout the show.
Fenestration training providers, GQA and Building Our Skills will open each day of demonstrations on the Installer Hub with two, 30-minute sessions at 10.30am covering hints and tips about the surveying of windows and doors for installers, followed by advice on surveyor training.
FIT Show event director, Nickie West, said: “We understand that practical demonstrations are high on the priority list for our visitors, which is why we are working with our exhibitors to curate a programme of live installations on the new Installer HUB at FIT Show this May.
“This new feature will create an extra touchpoint for installers, allowing them to speak directly to manufacturers and distributors of the latest windows, doors, lanterns, roofing, hardware and software solutions, as well as receiving practical advice and support to help them install and sell these products to end users.
“The live product demonstrations will perfectly complement the sessions that we will be delivering as part of the learning programme, which we are working with the GGF and FENSA to curate.”
