Stunning transformation
A property in Cheshire’s Alderley Edge has been transformed with new Residence Collection windows and doors.
Installed by Alexander Windows, the project involved replacing a number of original timber windows with R7 casements, finished in clotted cream with a white interior, as well as a cottage door, flint door and a Painswick door.
The timber alternative R7 from the Residence Collection features a flush finish on the interior and exterior, traditional mechanical jointing and is available in a wide range of colours.
The R7 windows boast an energy rating of A++, with U-values as low as 0.84 W/m2K with triple glazing and 1.2 W/m2K as standard with double glazing.
Commenting on the project, the homeowner said: “We couldn’t be happier with our new windows. We chose The Residence Collection due to the flush fitting primarily, but then the extensive choice of colours meant that we could modernise our home but still keep its character.
“Our windows have totally changed the look and feel of our home and has taken it to an entirely different level. Clean lines, an excellent finish and it doesn’t look out of place with the area, which is really important to us. They look great from the inside as well and the house is much warmer.
“We’ve had lots of comments from friends and family about our new windows. Mainly people have been surprised with the flush fitting and were unaware what could be done with PVC-U. We’ve even had comments from colleagues on Teams/Zoom calls!”
