Shopfront solution
Gateshead-based glass and glazing supplier Wadds has just completed the supply and installation of the shop front for a Sainsbury’s Local branch on Chillingham Road in the Heaton district of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Diane Ince, managing director of Wadds, said: “This was a great project to work on and we’re delighted with the quality of the result.”
The main contractor on the project was local company J3 Building Solutions, and Wadds won the contract to supply and install the shopfront in a competitive tender process. Diane tendered for the project using Exlabesa’s KC51 and KSF shopfronts. Both systems deliver results that maximise the glazed area, meet and exceed current regulatory requirements, and offer simple and cost-effective fabrication and installation.
Diane said: “Chillingham Road is a prime location in the vibrant Heaton area and we’re delighted to see our work helping to ensure the area continues to thrive.”
