Second generation on show

The second generation Ultraroof tiled roof system from Ultraframe, has been showcased in an L-shaped conservatory transformation project.

The Kerr family’s conservatory was leaking, poorly insulated and looked tired, and so they decided that the time had come to transform it into a beautiful and thermally efficient new living space.

After spending time doing research online, they came across the Ultraframe range of conservatory and extension roofing systems, and the Ultraroof system appealed to them.

Mrs Kerr said: “We were impressed by the quality of the Ultraframe product range and, in particular, the Ultraroof tiled roof system. We especially loved the fact that we could have huge glazed areas as opposed to the smaller Velux-type rooflights. It was also very fast to fit – much quicker than building an extension in the traditional way.”

Ultraframe said the second generation Ultraroof is 20% faster to install.

Ultraroof is not based on conservatory roofing technology, and its 380mm box beam means that no matter what the style or shape, Ultraroof will never need a tie bar. The wide box beam also ensures that the eaves is always properly insulated and above it, air flows under the tiles, eradicating the risk of condensation, which has the potential to be a problem.
