All aboard new student accommodation

Dudley’s Aluminium has begun work on new student accommodation in Exeter.

The project will redevelop the city’s former bus and coach station into state-of-the-art accommodation and will open in the summer of 2019.

Dudley’s Aluminium is currently working on a similar project in Exeter for Global Student Accommodation.

Dudley’s secured the £half-a million contract with Sir Robert McAlpine. The aluminium fabricator will install high-quality Kawneer curtain walling and doors, and the modern student accommodation facility will also receive solar shading

Colin Shorney, managing director of Dudley’s, said: “We are thrilled to be working on this project with Sir Robert McAlpine. It aligns with our extensive commitment to working within the education sector and we’re proud to support the construction of student accommodation in Exeter.”

The new student accommodation will see high-quality facilities, including 25,000ft2 of shops, restaurants and bars.

Dudley’s has a reputation for quality and has been granted several industry-related accreditations. The company is CHAS and Achilles accredited, Constructionline registered, and certified to manufacture Secured by Design products.
