VBH has partnered with smart-sensor specialist, Kubu, to develop the next generation Greenteq iQ range of locking systems, designed to form part of a smart, connected home.

Within the Greenteq iQ range are window and door locks that are compatible with Kubu, along with the option of new retro-fit sensors.

Geo-fencing features and the fact that Kubu can integrate with Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant among others, is said to make it a ‘standout security choice for the connected home’.

Simon Monks, managing director of VBH GB, said. “Smart technology for windows and doors will be a fundamental part of the future direction of this industry and so it’s important for VBH to play an active role in this.

“Kubu is the standout technology for the sector, and we’re thrilled to have been able to develop a new range of locking systems that requires no change in manufacturing process. Activation is also super simple at the point of installation with a Kubu smart module.”

Ryan Bromley, founder of Kubu Smart, added: “The fact that VBH wanted to partner with us reflects our position as a market leader when it comes to smart security technology in windows and doors.

“We are very excited to be working with VBH to bring the Kubu revolution to a whole new segment of the industry. Already the sales and activation levels of Kubu in 2023 are well over budget.”
