Total Hardware Mantis 4

Total Hardware has added the Mantis 4 Multipoint door lock from Yale to its range. Designed and manufactured in the UK to suit PVC-U, composite and timber style doors it features unique hook and linear bolt locking points and works with single and French door applications.

Gary Cox, director at Total Hardware, said: “We continually evaluate our inventory to offer the depth and breadth of products our customers need. The Mantis 4 Multipoint door lock is the perfect example of Yale’s innovative approach to security.”

The unique hook and linear bolt unit and pre-compression rollers on the Mantis 4 are positioned to assist with PAS24: 2016 test accreditation. The centre unit features a strengthened centre case and a new 13mm axis one piece keep means the Mantis 4 was able to accept a greater load during security testing.

The lock also has a reversible latch and the easy-to-use push-in latch snib feature has been specifically designed to prevent accidental lock outs. There are also screw-in, hardened plastic tidy boxes for improved longevity aesthetics. There are zinc end caps and the faceplates are manufactured from 430 stainless steel for durability and longevity.

The Mantis 4 is a versatile option for fabricators and installers too. There are 16mm or 20mm faceplate options and the range includes square and radius ends. There are one piece and individual keeps for PVC-U doors and three piece keeps for composite doors. The centre keep and the adjustable hook and linear bolt keep have a +/-2mm adjustment. The range includes hexagon allen key cam options for this adjustment.

Made in Britain, the Mantis 4 has been corrosion tested to BS EN 1670: 2007 Grade 4 (240hrs) and endurance tested to 50,000 cycles. It has a 10-year mechanical guarantee and is included within Yale’s lifetime security guarantee.
