SupaLite has announced the launch of a new ExtraLight Universal Hip End Cap, a product developed exclusively for SupaLite roof systems and engineered to simplify installation across a wide range of roof configurations.

The product has been introduced to address a long-standing challenge on conservatory roof installations – managing different pitch angles while maintaining a clean, professional finish.

Designed to accommodate angles between 90 and 150 degrees, SupaLite says that the new Universal Hip End Cap removes the traditional limitations associated with fixed-angle components.

Unlike standard end caps that are specific to 90 or 135 degrees, SupaLite’s latest innovation offers installers a single, adaptable solution capable of performing across varied pitches without the need for multiple component options.

Addressing common installation challenges
For installers, this development manages the complexity that comes with mixed roof designs and varying pitches, such as those combining Edwardian styling on one side with Victorian styling on the other.

Previously, installers would have required separate end caps to ensure correct alignment and finish. This not only complicates ordering but can also create delays if the wrong components are delivered, or additional parts are needed during installation.

The ExtraLight Universal Hip End Cap eliminates this issue by allowing the same component to be used consistently around the entire roof structure. By covering the full 90 –150 degree range, the new end cap provides the flexibility required for mixed-style roofs while maintaining a clean, consistent appearance.

Improving efficiency on site
From an installation standpoint, the simplified approach helps streamline workflow and improve efficiency. Installers can carry fewer components to site and avoid delays caused by missing or incorrect pitch-specific parts. With fewer variables to manage, installation teams can focus on completing the job quickly and accurately.

The Universal Hip End Cap has been engineered specifically for SupaLite roof systems, ensuring a precise fit and seamless finish that aligns with the performance standards installers expect from the brand.
By reducing component complexity and eliminating the need to manage multiple pitch-specific elements, the ExtraLight Universal Hip End Cap helps improve efficiency on site while maintaining the high standards of SupaLite products.

Alan Watters, technical director at SupaLite, said:

“Installers want practical solutions that remove unnecessary complexity. We developed the ExtraLight Universal Hip End Cap to eliminate the limitations that come with fixed-pitch components, giving our customers genuine flexibility up to 150 degrees.

“Being able to use one cap around the entire roof, even on mixed roof styles and designs, makes installation faster and easier. Because it has been designed specifically for SupaLite roofs, installers can be assured of achieving the precise fit and high-quality finish the system is designed to deliver.”

Supporting installers
As demand for solid tiled conservatory roof replacements continues to grow, the industry is increasingly focused on solutions that combine performance with practical installation benefits. Products that reduce complexity while maintaining system integrity are becoming an important differentiator for installers looking to improve efficiency and gain a competitive advantage.

The launch of the new Universal Hip End Cap reinforces SupaLite’s ongoing focus on designing products that address real-world installation challenges, combining system integration with practical improvements that support professional installers.
