The new Silka slim sash window range is now available after completing a rigorous testing process to achieve U-values of 0.8 W/mΒ²K.

The system offers triple glazing as standard, which is designed to futureproof Silka against forthcoming legislation changes.

β€œWe’re really excited to be bringing Silka slim sash windows to the market,” said Andy Jones, sales and marketing director for Silka in England and Wales. β€œTheir 66mm profile thickness and 44mm triple glazing at no additional cost makes them the most exciting system on the market.

β€œIt’s not just the profile and glazing combination that makes them so impressive,” continued Andy. β€œThe Silka brand’s secret weapon is our ground-breaking thermal barrier, Thermafill, an innovative new method of insulating the cavities inside profiles, which helps to prevent heat loss.

β€œOur slim sash window is available in a dummy sash configuration, which is rare for aluminium systems. The square-edge detailing perfectly suits both contemporary and heritage properties, particularly for traditional bay windows with a dummy sash.

β€œSilka’s slim sash windows are available in dual colour options. The finish is absolutely stunning too, with exclusive Silktouch technology that offers a lightly textured, silky feel that stays cleaner for longer.

β€œAlongside our slim sash window, we have introduced a lift and slide door and will soon be bringing roof lights and a range of entrance and bi-fold doors to the market.

β€œWe believe that Silka is the future of aluminium windows. It is the perfect system for installers looking for an aluminium glazing system to keep them ahead of the curve.”
