Silka has launched a triple-glazed rooflight to complement its range of aluminium window and door products.
Delivering ultra-low U-values, the Future Homes Standard compliant system has been designed by the team behind Apeer doors.
It is available up to a maximum size of 4m x 3m, with a choice of depth for the glass edge detail and thickness of glass.
“It’s great to be bringing the full Silka range to the UK market,” said Andy Jones, sales and marketing director for Silka in England and Wales. “Rooflights are an integral part of the range, not only because they brighten living spaces, but because they are another example of Silka’s revolutionary design and technology at work – providing a complete suite of products that are helping to reduce energy bills and increase energy efficiency in the home.
“The rooflight completes a range of super energy efficient products, including slim sash windows; bi-fold and lift & slide doors; and soon-to-be-released entrance doors.
“The system offers our incredible slim sightlines with triple glazing as standard,” continued Andy. “The Silka rooflight also offers top thermal efficiency thanks to our ground-breaking thermal barrier, Thermafill.
“We’re anticipating a lot of success for the new range, especially as more customers are choosing interesting ways to renovate and expand their homes as opposed to moving properties,” he concluded. “The system is available to match and accommodate almost every type of flat roof installation and can be paired with the rest of the Silka.”
