Sheerline launches Prestige composite door frame

Sheerline has released the latest addition to its aluminium window and door range, the Prestige composite door frame.

It has been designed to allow installers and fabricators to offer ‘whole-house’ aluminium solutions, where all frames are perfectly matched across a project including consistent styling, colours, performance and guarantees.

A choice of two aluminium outer frames that fit both 44 and 48/49mm door blanks will help doorsets meet the new requirements of Part L coming into force on 15 June, with Sheerline’s unique Thermlock thermal breaks delivering ‘outstanding’ thermal efficiency.

According to Sheerline, its aluminium outer frame is 16 times more rigid than reinforced PVC-U, allowing installers to offer a premium door ‘experience’ that matches homeowners’ expectations of aluminium and virtually eliminate door ‘bounce’.

Created with installers in mind, it features threshold cover strips that conceal fixings and universal sealable end caps.

The systems two low threshold options, tested to the requirements of Part M, can be run continuously under sidelights if required for improved aesthetics. Botha thresholds are able to accommodate a mechanically jointed ‘T’ transom/mullion, providing slimmer sightlines when doors are configured with sidelights.

The new aluminium composite door frame is delivered on the same agile lead-times as other products in the Sheerline Prestige range and is available in bespoke and dual colour options.
