The Trojan Group’s TS008 Unicorn Letterplate complies with the requirements of PAS24:2016, the standard for enhanced security performance.
Steve Hall, Trojan’s general manager, said: “The updated door standard PAS24:2016 now requires that an external door is fitted with a letterplate that meets the new criteria. In order to meet with the TS008 testing requirements the letterplate must eliminate the risk of an intruder gaining access by means of physical force or ‘fishing’. We are delighted the TS008 Unicorn Letterplate has passed the requirements of the revised PAS24:2016 test and is evidence of its intelligent design and inherent quality.”
Trojan’s TS008 Unicorn Letterplate features an inner protective housing with a concealed hinge mechanism to prevent attack, an inner lap with a positive stop feature to protect from ‘fishing’, and a projection that is below door handle height for added protection.
It is manufactured from 304 stainless steel, is suitable for both composite and PVCU doors, and is available in an array of colours as well as polished, brushed and satin stainless steel and PVD gold.
It has a 25-year anti corrosion guarantee and a 10-year mechanical guarantee.
