Rooflight with integrated blind

Hitech Blinds will showcase its new aluminium rooflight system, which features a fully integrated remote-control pleated blind, at May’s FIT Show.

Suitable for new build installation or retro-fit across residential and commercial markets, the slimline aluminium TRL90 Rooflight, is supplied with a white pleated and fully retractable, remote-controlled integrated blind, as standard.

Supplied with a wall mounted and remote control, the motorised system allows users to retract and open the blind, which retracts behind a ceramic paint screen when fully opened.

“The FIT Show is about showcasing the best of product innovation in the window and door industry. The TRL90 rooflight is exactly that product – a genuinely unique offer; aligned to a growth market; but delivering greater opportunity to installers to build increased margin into retail and commercial sales,” Ian Woolley, sales director at HiTech Blinds, said.

The easy-to-install system is available in 11 stock sizes from 800mm x 800mm up to 1,000mm x 3,000mm and delivered in five days.

Hitech Blinds moved to a new 8,000ft2 facility at the beginning of this year, which offers increased capacity, accommodates future growth, and allows it to manufacture its new rooflight system alongside its core integral blind offer.

This is built around its own manual venetian blind system which is available in 16mm and 20mm options and is suitable for use with slim 24mm units, in addition to standard 28mm units.

“In a mature market where 95% plus or more windows and doors have already been replaced at least once, genuine USPs are difficult to come by,” Ian said. “Window hermetically sealed blind technology is proven, yet the market for integral blinds is still relatively new and has significant growth potential.

“This includes our core integrated blind business and new remote controlled rooflight blind, which supplied as standard in a thermally broken aluminium system equal to any on the market, should be a no brainer, offering a unique point of differentiation to installers and opportunity to build margin.”
