Pioneer Trading is using the FIT Show to launch a unique range of Gerda steel and aluminium entrance doors.
According to Pioneer, Gerda doors are ‘stylish, elegant and with an emphasis on high security’ and feature ‘superior’ thermal performance.
With high performance levels and unique construction methods and materials, Gerda Doors represent an alternative to conventional composite doors, with Pioneer aiming to quickly establish a strong reputation in the UK home improvement market.
Distributed exclusively in the UK by Pioneer Trading, which has been manufacturing windows and doors for more than 30 years, the Gerda offer includes a range of colours and designs that have been chosen to suit the tastes of British homeowners. Four ranges will be available initially: Optima, Thermopremium, Thermoprime and Altus.
The steel and aluminium doors offer thermal transmittance as low as 0.74 W/m2K for solid doors and 0.81 W/m2K for glazed doors. The class leading Altus door boasts a 90mm depth, three chamber reinforced aluminium internal construction with PU cores, the Fuhr multi point security lock and hardware located into reinforced aluminium outer frames.
Danny Williams, MD of Pioneer, said: “We have been searching for some time for an alternative high-performance front entrance door solution and for the past two years we have been in discussions with Gerda.
“We have found Gerda by some margin to be the best range that we have seen. They offer security and thermal performance, coupled with a build-quality ahead of anything else currently offered at similar price levels in the UK.
“The construction techniques and materials used in the manufacture of Gerda Doors ensure that distortion and other quality issues that have become so characteristic of conventional composite doors will simply not be an issue.”
Despite this, says Danny, Gerda Doors will be priced as an affordable alternative.
“Gerda doors have to be seen, tried and tested to appreciate the combination of performance and exceptional aesthetics and the FIT Show offers the perfect opportunity to see what we believe is a real game-changer in the front entrance door sector,” he said.
“We are looking for reputable partners to offer the doors throughout the UK; come and see us at the FIT Show.”
Founded over 35 years ago, Gerda is said to be well established in mainland Europe providing a range of products including doors, high security hardware, fittings and garage doors. In Poland, Gerda is a premium household brand.
Danny Williams added that customer service will also be addressed in the supply of Gerda in the UK: “Product issues such as fading, warping and other issues aside, of equal concern is that of service in the UK composite doors market. During the past few years many leading brands of door suppliers have become complacent and indifferent to the quality of product and service they provide. We will address this in our support of Gerda products in Britain.”
