Opal Aluminium – slimmer sash, slicker installation.
Prefix Systems has extended and improved its range of Opal Aluminium windows and doors, with the introduction of a new slimline sash to its popular Opal Definitive bi-fold door.
The all-new modern square sash features slim, elegant modern lines with an innovative ‘Quick-Glaze Bead’ which reduces fitting times.
Installers can simply tap the Quick-Glaze Bead in on site (rather than having to clip them in), making the installation and glazing process faster, more straightforward and more cost effective. Sashes can also be removed easily for maintenance and cleaning. The glazing gasket is also now integrated into the slim sash profile to make installation easier and quicker.
Featuring a 122mm sightline the Opal Definitive slimmer profiles create an even greater glazed area and larger uninterrupted openings. Available in a range of opening configurations, the door’s flexibility makes it the ideal choice for both residential and light commercial projects.
The highly versatile, easy-to-operate system is the perfect option for even the largest project, capable of opening up an entire wall, yet presenting a contemporary, elegant, glazed façade when closed.
Kitemarked and PAS24 accredited, security is assured by multi-point locking mechanisms on the main opening sashes.

“Furthermore, for all Prefix Systems customers the configurator is also available for integration on their own websites. Integrating the configurator on their website will help boost sales – configurators have been proven to enhance the engagement and experience of consumers landing on any website. Our configurator allows us to offer this benefit to customers without the need for expensive development costs which would be required to develop their own.”
To support its full range of Opal Aluminium products, Prefix Systems has its own range of marketing materials to assist with sales. It currently offers three Opal brochures. The main one features all Opal products including information on hardware and colour options, the Opal Heritage brochure features all products available with the ultra slim profile and lastly, the Opal Entrance brochure contains information on both Opal Aluminium entrance doors that are available along with an extensive range of designs and hardware.
