New spray-painting facility
Sliders UK has launched a new in-house spray-painting facility, increasing flexibility of finish and shortening lead times on special order composite door colours.
Now fully operational, the new purpose-built facility gives Sliders UK the flexibility to offer composite doors in any RAL colour.
These are sprayed in high performance and environmentally friendly, solvent-free water-based paints and come with a full 10-year guarantee.
Steve Mines, sales director at Sliders UK, said: “If you’re sending work outside you’re reliant on your suppliers and where your job sits in the queue.
“In bringing spray painting in-house we gain far greater control, reduce transit and can offer greatly improved lead times to our customers.
“We can literally do anything they want, so we’re also introducing far more flexibility into our composite door offer.”
Steve continued: “40% of the doors that we supply are now custom-colour. That’s something that we only expect to increase. We see the flexibility to supply any colour on shorter lead times as a key commercial advantage to our customers.”
Sliders UK is also in the process of building a new powder coating facility, which is scheduled for completion at the beginning of the autumn.
