Maco launches fastest motorised lock
Maco has launched the M-TS motorised lock. Capable of opening a door in just 0.3 seconds, the hardware specialist claims it is the fastest in the industry, delivering ‘unprecedented’ convenience as well as compression and security.
The M-TS generates contact pressure mechanically using Maco’s proven three-latch technology, enabling the motor to focus only on locking and unlocking.
Maco’s three-latch technology pulls the door leaf against the frame over the entire door height and ensures automatic contact pressure before the motor is triggered and locks the two hooks and deadbolt. According to Maco, this ensures a perfect compression and makes the M-TS faster than conventional motorised locks. Another plus point is that the motor is located on the main lock case, therefore reducing the milling effort in the door leaf.
Maco adds that this innovative technology also improves ease of use, safety and energy efficiency. As soon as the door ‘sits’, the hooks and deadbolt are engaged and locks automatically without having to turn the cylinder. Once the door is locked it is fully secure with the gaskets fully compressed, ensuring maximum thermal efficiency.
Quicker and easier to process
The M-TS can be used in conjunction with a standard cylinder and does not require any programming or configuration work as the release magnets can be mounted on the striker rails without the use of tools.
The M-TS is suitable for commercial and homeowner applications. Access control options include keypad, fingerprint scanner, transponder or smartphone app. It is said to be easy to assemble thanks to prefabricated plug and play combinations and is equipped for future living requirements.
