Kenrick has upgraded its Excalibur XL window locking system in direct response to customer feedback, reinforcing a commitment to listening to customers and continually improving products.

Already well established for its high-security performance and reliability, the latest development sees additional fixing points incorporated through the gearbox faceplate.

The enhancement was introduced following feedback from customers looking for greater flexibility when fabricating, handling and transporting finished windows.

Excalibur XL is already a proven and highly regarded locking system, but there are always opportunities to make a great product even better.

“This latest enhancement came directly from conversations with customers. They asked whether we could incorporate additional fixing points through the gearbox faceplate and we listened. It’s a simple change that delivers a genuine practical benefit for fabricators.”

According to Kenrick, the upgraded design has already received positive feedback, with one customer immediately recognising the changes, reportedly describing the new design as “brilliant” and highlighting the fabrication efficiencies it delivers compared with the previous product.

Excalibur XL combines patented high-security bi-directional claw locking with steel shoot bolts and profile-related keeps with a night vent facility. Available with 20mm, 22mm and 25mm backsets, the system is PAS24 capable and suitable for Secured by Design specifications.

Tested to 100,000 operating cycles and a minimum of 240 hours salt spray testing, Excalibur is backed by a 10-year mechanical guarantee.
