G-Pack Manufacturing has completed tooling on a new 70mm frame corner protector.
The new design provides high ground clearance for window and door frames and allows for a true screw fix to both sides.
Manufactured from 100% recycled plastic from end-of-life local authority wheelie bins, the corner protector is moulded at a 45º angle within the mould tool. This allows for the removal of plastic from around the frame corner weld, therefore making the chances of cracking a weld on a heavy frame such as a composite door less likely.
The company says the new component is strong enough for large glazed frames and composite door, yet economical enough for standard windows.
