Fire safety specialist, Pyroguard, has been specified as part of the transformation of the former corporate office headquarters of telecommunications company Canal+ into an ambitious mixed-use development in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France.

The project introduced new vertical connections, expanded façade elements and a redesigned central patio, all supported by an enhanced steel structure.

In total, 650m² of Pyroguard Protect EI60 fire-rated glass was installed internally to form edge-to-edge partitions around the stairwells, atrium and meeting rooms to provide visual continuity while meeting vigorous fire safety standards.

Pyroguard Protect allows maximum natural light to filter through interior spaces while maintaining 60 minutes of fire protection. Its superior acoustic performance and UV stability are designed to enhance occupant comfort and building longevity.

In addition to its fire-rated glazing Pyroguard also contributed hands-on technical expertise, supporting each phase of the project, from early specification and test certification through to installation.

Pyroguard Protect is a toughened fire safety glass which provides integrity and heat insulation from 30 to 120 minutes (EW Classification) and 30 to 180 minutes (EI Classification). The solutions provide 1B1 impact classification offering high performing acoustic properties and UV stability.
