Everglade Windows has introduced a series of enhancements to its flagship Aïr 400SS Plus aluminium sliding door, delivering improved thermal performance and new installation features that make the system even more attractive for installers and specifiers.

Available from early August, the latest evolution of the Aïr 400SS has been developed in response to changing Building Regulations while retaining its slim sightlines, premium design and proven performance.

Among the key upgrades is an improved polyamide thermal break, helping the system achieve U-values of 1.4 W/m²K with a 1.0 W/m²K double-glazed unit and 1.2 W/m²K with a 0.7 W/m²K triple-glazed unit.

Everglade Windows has also introduced an optional integrated upstand, allowing the finished floor level to meet the top of the outer frame, creating a seamless, flush finish.

Installation has also been simplified through the introduction of quick-glaze, pre-gasketed beads for 28mm glazed units, helping installers complete projects more efficiently.

Bhavik Dabasia, technical director at Everglade Windows, commented:

“The Aïr 400SS Plus has always been recognised for combining contemporary design with high performance. These latest enhancements ensure the system continues to meet the evolving demands of the market while making installation easier and delivering even better thermal performance.

“Rather than reinventing an already successful product, we’ve focused on meaningful improvements that benefit installers and homeowners. The result is a sliding door system that remains true to the original concept, while offering greater specification flexibility and helping our customers stay ahead of changing regulations.”

The enhanced Aïr 400SS Plus aluminium sliding door is available from 4 August 2026.
