ERA Home Security has renewed its membership with Secured by Design (SBD) and says that its longstanding relationship with SBD demonstrates a commitment to providing its customers with the highest standards of security and certification, across its range of smart and traditional hardware.

ERA’s brands include Zoo Hardware and Fab&Fix, both of which have ranges of SBD accredited products.

The hardware specialist’s smart door security solution, TouchKey, which is said to combine the latest innovations in smart technology, achieved SBD’s Secure Connected Device accreditation in 2023. This accreditation highlights Internet of Things (IoT) connected products that have achieved the relevant IoT standards and certifications, including third-party testing and independent certification.

Revolutionising keyless entry for timber and composite entrance doors, ERA says that TouchKey is the only system of its kind to combine five different entry methods into a single door handle. This includes fingerprint access, the smart home app, geolocation technology, voice-activated entry, and manual key override.

Over 40 of ERA’s lock, hardware and mail delivery solutions are accredited by Secured by Design’s ‘Police Preferred Specification Scheme’.
