A night on the tiles

SupaLite is celebrating the signing of a new five-year supply agreement for ExtraLight roof tiles with New Zealand manufacturer the Ross Roof Group.

Preston-based SupaLite became the first company in Europe to supply the ExtraLight shingle tile three years ago.

Steve Hacking, operations director at SupaLite, said: “Over the past three years, ExtraLight tiles have really transformed the UK market and have become an integral part behind the performance and the appeal of a SupaLite replacement tiled roof. We’re delighted the Ross Roof Group sees the value in our partnership to extend our supply agreement for a further five years. We have seen a growth in tiles sales of almost 40% to date. We’re on track for growth of a further 20% this year which is a real testament to the quality of the product range.”

The ExtraLight shingle roof tile is a metal roof tile finished with a hard-wearing natural stone coating. Fully approved by the LABC and the BBA, it is tested down to 10º by the Building Research Establishment (BRE), passing EN 15601.

Cameron Ross, sales director at the Ross Roof Group, said: “We supply tiles into markets across the world including North America, Asia, Africa and Australasia. It’s fantastic to see SupaLite flying the flag in the UK and Europe with such success, showcasing our easy-to-install, yet high-performance and long-lasting product range.”
