38 years attending Glasstec

Marrose Abrasives, manufacturer of abrasive polishing wheels based in the UK, will exhibit at Glasstec 2018 for the 20th time since 1980

Established in 1976, Marrose initially specialised in the manufacture of rubber bonded abrasive products for polishing the edge of glass – for furniture, architectural and white goods such as refrigerator shelves and cooker control panels.

Today, Marrose Abrasives offers a full range of polishing wheels, for all flat glass edge grinding and polishing machines.

The company has added new abrasive wheel designs to its range of products for the glass processor, all produced to recognised standards – EN12413, ISO603-18 and ISO 525 – with consistent quality of product and performance.

Marrose Abrasives is the exclusive distributor for Tyrolit Vincent (Diamond Wheels and Drills) for glass throughout the UK and Ireland.

Tony Day, Marrose Abrasives managing director, said: “We have a vision for manufacturing excellence, based on a solid foundation of technical knowledge, with leadership that guides, in a relentless drive to create an efficient work flow, from raw materials to superior finished products, with the capability and manufacturing discipline that can respond quickly to any challenge.”

Marrose will showcase its new Cerium CE-IX4 Polishing Wheel at Glasstec.

Marrose Abrasives added a new high concentration Cerium wheel to complement its existing range of cerium wheels for the final polishing position. The new CE-IX4 gives an exceptionally bright, polished edge and a long life in use.

The company has its own in-house research and development laboratory where wheels are tested using a Schiatti FPS15 S9 straight line edge grinding machine.

Marrose Abrasives said its participation at Glasstec is an important aspect of its global sales and marketing activity, in support of European distributors, Marrose also attends China Glass, Glass South America and GlassBuild America to support distributors more widely.
