Window Ware has raised £3,022 for its nominated local charity, Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice in Moggerhanger, Bedfordshire.
The hardware specialist has made an annual donation to the charity for the last five years of around £1,500 but managed to double its efforts for 2022 thanks to successful Valentine’s Day and National Hospice Care Week fundraisers, held on the 14 February and 14 October respectively. Window Ware pledged to donate £5 for every order placed on those days.
The company also held a charity TV auction following a summer upgrade of boardroom equipment at Window Ware’s Bedford HQ and a team entry in the October Bedford 10K Starlight Hike
The Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice provides expert and compassionate palliative care for people living with life-limiting conditions, as well as support for their families.
The money raised by Window Ware will help to provide the equivalent of 143 hours of expert care for patients supported by Sue Ryder nurses, healthcare assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, complementary therapists, social workers, and bereavement support workers.
Charlotte Griggs, Community Fundraiser for Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice, said: “We’re so grateful to Window Ware for continuing to support us over the last 12 months. They held some fantastic fundraisers in 2022 and raised an incredible amount of money, which will help us to be there when it matters for families going through the most difficult times of their lives. A sincere thank you Window Ware for all you do!”
