Welglaze bought by Quickslide parent co

Audasi Holdings, which includes VS manufacturer Quickslide in its portfolio, has acquired Hertfordshire-based Welglaze.

Founded in 1970, Welglaze fabricates PVCU and aluminium windows for the trade, together with a full range of residential and sliding doors and complementary products.

Audasi has already moved the Welglaze operation to a purpose-built factory in Letchworth, just 10 miles from its previous base. From this new facility Welglaze will continue to fabricate the Deceuninck suite of products alongside residential and sliding doors, aluminium windows and doors, and a portfolio of commercial aluminium products and services.

Further investment will see an increase in capacity and improved customer service and support systems, the latter of which will include detailed quotation-to-delivery order tracking together with enhanced service and technical support for fabricators.

Audasi chairman Adrian Barraclough said the group had been searching for some time to find an ideal operation in the south east of England.

“The Welglaze acquisition is an ideal fit with the investment from the group re-energising one of the area’s longest established and most popular window and door makers,” Adrian said.

“The acquisition reinforces the group’s plan to continue evolving and innovating improved and exciting ways of serving this fascinating industry through products, systems and people.”
